DRIVER'S LICENSE GUIDE

Can you drive in Japan?

A 60-second guide to whether your license works. Please check carefully — Japan's rules are strict, and we cannot accept what the law doesn't allow.

ACCEPTED

Japanese driver's license

Any valid Japanese driver's license is fully accepted. Just bring the physical card.

ACCEPTED

International Driving Permit (IDP)

Issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention. Must be the booklet form, valid for 1 year from issue. Bring both your IDP and your home country license.

🇺🇸USA 🇬🇧UK 🇦🇺AU 🇨🇦CA 🇰🇷KR 🇮🇹IT 🇪🇸ES +80
TRANSLATION REQUIRED

Home license + official Japanese translation

If you are from one of these six countries/regions, you do NOT need an IDP — but you DO need an official Japanese translation of your home license, issued by JAF or your embassy in Japan.

🇨🇭Switzerland 🇩🇪Germany 🇫🇷France 🇹🇼Taiwan 🇧🇪Belgium 🇲🇨Monaco
NOT ACCEPTED

Chinese mainland licenses & non-Geneva IDPs

Mainland China (PRC) licenses cannot be used in Japan under any circumstances. Vienna Convention IDPs (e.g. from Vietnam, Indonesia) are also not valid. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

How to get a Japanese translation (CH/DE/FR/TW/BE/MC) Apply via JAF (Japan Automobile Federation) online or at any branch — about ¥4,000, takes 1–2 weeks by post, or same-day in person. Or apply at your country's embassy in Japan. Bring the translation along with your original license on the day of the tour.
Important — no exceptions Without a valid license in one of the forms above, Japanese law does not allow us to let you drive. We cannot make exceptions, and refunds in this case follow our standard cancellation policy. Please verify before booking.

WHY ELECTRIC

A new way to feel Mt. Fuji.

Combustion engines belong to another era. We built our fleet on three principles — and the result is the most respectful way to experience this landscape.

01 / SILENT

Silent on the lake

No engine. No vibration. Hear the wind, the water, the rustle of the forest — the way Mt. Fuji was meant to be experienced.

02 / CLEAN

Zero emission

Not a single gram of CO₂ from our karts. We protect the air, the lake, and the mountain that drew you here.

03 / SMOOTH

Instant torque

Smooth, linear, addictive acceleration. Easy to drive, exhilarating to live.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Mt. Fuji's grandeur, felt in silence.

A 90-minute experience built around three moments. This is what every guest takes home.

The first time you accelerate without engine noise, you'll realize how loud combustion has been. The forest, the lake, the wind in your hair — all suddenly audible. It changes how you see the mountain.
The Silence
SIGNATURE MOMENT
Your guide stops at five hand-picked vantage points along the lake. Each one frames Mt. Fuji differently — from forest path to bridge to open shore. We shoot the photos. You ride home with your own postcards.
